Some Quick Starts use advanced logic and add up scores that are displayed on a Results page. In addition to the how-to post with publishing instructions, we’ve created logic templates to make the process of organizing and defining that logic a bit easier. Below you’ll find a guide to the logic template as well as a link to download the logic template itself.
Visitors are asked to enter the number of cards into a textbox which will be used to calculate savings. We use 150 as our example quantity.
After the number of cards are submitted, the cost per item, total cost and savings are displayed on the page.
The cost per item is based on predetermined quantity ranges that are defined lower in the logic template. When 150 cards are ordered, each sprocket costs $0.45.
The total cost is found by multiplying the number of cards by the cost per item. In our example, 150 cards would cost $67.50.
The savings value shows the percentage that was saved by buying in bulk. This is found by first dividing the cost per item by 100 (the normal unit cost). This would yield a value of 0.9 in our example. That value is then subtracted from 1 in order to get a decimal value that represents your savings - 0.1 in our example. Finally, this value is multiplied by 100 to convert it to a percentage. This savings percentage for our example would be 10%.
