Some Quick Starts use advanced logic and add up scores that are displayed on a Results page. In addition to the how-to post with publishing instructions, we’ve created logic templates to make the process of organizing and defining that logic a bit easier. Below you’ll find a guide to the logic template as well as a link to download the logic template itself.
The BMI Calculator Quick Start includes a built-in mechanism to calculate your respondents’ BMI based on their height, weight and gender. This mechanism is known as a “server scriptlet” which performs the calculations necessary and does not need to be altered.
In this logic template, we show an example of a man who is 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds.
The output is the BMI value that was calculated based on the height, weight and gender entered into the form. As noted earlier, the formula is contained within a server scriptlet which you will not need to alter. Using the example inputs noted above, the example respondent has a BMI of 24.41.
